Just in recent “Turn of the Century” from 1993 to 2003, more or less, I was using religious images as a main theme for my art.
For the last ten years I have been working on some other subjects.
Few months ago I made a drawing of a cuban “Saint Lazarus” for a dear friend that happens to be ‘Irish’…and wanted to have it as a permanent tattoo.
My drawing is now a tattoo on one of his legs…and today is “Babalú Day”…same as in “Baba-Lucy…Ricardo”…that all of us know!Cepp Selgas / "Babalú" / Ink on paper / 7X10ins. 2014 |
