New York State Of Mind No.59
Just by chance two days ago I found a video in Youtube
(the one below)
a 'book presentation' in Spanish about 'Our Lady of Charity'
and the cuban Soul; with a compilation of artistic memorabilia
on the whole matter by respected cuban-collector Emilio Cueto.
One piece from my 'Virgin-Boat' Series' is featured
in the book and commented about in this video.
Today; surprised and so glad I'm turning this event into a celebration
for my arrival to USA-38th anniversary by... boat...exactly!

New York State Of Mind No.34
Just in recent “Turn of the Century” from 1993 to 2003, more or less, I was using religious images as a main theme for my art.
For the last ten years I have been working on some other subjects.
Few months ago I made a drawing of a cuban “Saint Lazarus” for a dear friend that happens to be ‘Irish’…and wanted to have it as a permanent tattoo.
My drawing is now a tattoo on one of his legs…and today is “Babalú Day”…same as in “Baba-Lucy…Ricardo”…that all of us know!![]() |
