Please visit our ongoing exhibition of postcard art entitled Postcards From A Pandemic. This exhibition invites artists from near and far to mail a postcard to the Art Center that reflects their thoughts and creative expressions during this troubled time of social distancing and gallery closures due to COVID-19. Beautiful and insightful drawings, paintings, collages, and prints by esteemed artists, are arriving each day in our mailbox. We have already received over 100 cards from locations as far away as Albuquerque, New Mexico and in media as diverse as monoprint on handmade paper to handstitched and felted. Grab your favorite beverage, warm up your Instagram fingers, and get ready to “clamor for your favorite card”!
A special group of postcards submissions – thus far not posted on Instagram (some of which are pictured here and have been highly admired in our window exhibitions) will be sequentially posted @postcards_from_a_pandemic Friday, June 5, starting at 7:00 pm - ready to be claimed by minimum donation of $25. We welcome and encourage larger donations for works that you find remarkable! Donation link in Instagram profile or click the yellow button on our website.
Help us rally to raise funds not only for Garrison Art Center but for Fred’s Pantry in Peekskill. We are so grateful to the artists who have shared their talent and inspirations on these remarkable cards during this most unusual time.
