As part of its new collection "Essential", Ars Atelier City celebrates the life and legacy of late Cuban master Ernesto Briel [Havana, 1943- New York City, 1992] in 2013, the years that marks the 70th anniversary of the birthday of this "essential" presence in the contemporary Cuban visual arts.

Ars Atelier City Magazine, an arts and literature magazine, makes a come back with its issue "0" dedicated to the oeuvre and career of Cuban master Ernesto Briel, who -according to art historian and curator Gustavo Valdés- is one of the three greats of geometric abstractionism in Cuban art (along with Carmen Herrera and Waldo Díaz Balart).
