Anthropocene Drifter is an exhibition of paintings and a large interactive sculpture installation depicting the dystopian point of view of a nomad living in a future ecosystem that has been all but destroyed by climate change. Zachary Skinner’s dark depictions are balanced by a brilliant use of color in his paintings and a whimsical, sometimes humorous, always thoughtfully constructed use of mixed media in his sculptures. Paintings and sculptures support one another in the telling of this fictional journey of the Anthropocene Drifter.   View press release here. Rain Drawing by Susan Walsh. Gouache on Yupo paper Susan Walsh embraces nature as a way of marking time through observable changes in natural phenomena. Charcoal, gouache, wind, rain, sea water and paper become her  co-collaborators in the exploration of time through multiple concepts of chance, control, chaos and entropy resulting in poetic transformations on paper.    View press release here.
